Thanks to our customers' generosity, the Book Passage Giving Tree has donated over 1,000 books each year to children in need in the Bay Area. We hope to expand this program to reach even more children. 

You can donate to the Giving Tree through our website. The Book Passage staff will then choose the appropriate books and match them to a child in the program. Or you are invited to come into one of our stores and pick a tag with a child's name from one of our Giving Trees at the registers and choose a book to donate to that child.

The names of the children are supplied to us by several community organziations. These organizations include Side by Side (formerly Sunny Hills Services), West Marin & Inverness Schools, the Center for Domestic Peace, the Homeless Pre-Natal Program, Performing Stars, Next Generation Scholars, Parents Place, Tomales Elementary, Tandem, and the Parent Services Project.

This year, we are also collecting books for local students in need.  We are so grateful for your generosity — the greater amount we are able to raise will allow us to partner with more classrooms.
