Touching on five generations, the narrative and lyrical poems in Family Matters range from Oklahoma’s Little Dixie (Choctaw Country) in the 1940’s to Marin County by way of California’s Central Valley. Celebrating and commemorating both its grief and its joy, the poems artfully depict family as the microcosm of the universe.
Yvonne Postelle has published poetry, short stories and articles in journals and periodicals as varied as Marin Poetry Center Anthologies, Rattle, White Pelican Review, Cimarron Review, Cosmopolitan, Venus, Parents’ Magazine, Mechanics Illustrated, Northwestern Review, The Occident, Journal of Somatics, and a number of small press publications.
