Lisa Church - Welcome to Kimmensville (Corte Madera Store)

Kimmensville was a place in time, the dream of five families. Welcome to Kimmensville: Population 17-1/2 is a bittersweet memoir about the mischievous adventures of the Kimmensville Club and their magical neighborhood before the suicide of the author's beloved younger brother.

The Gossage kids grew up in the '70s and '80s on their grandfather's golf course in a small Midwestern town, surrounded by family and friends. The kids ruled the neighborhood and had the adventures of their lives, until tragedy hit.

The story follows the family and how the aftermath of Danny's death impacted each of them over the span of thirty years. The turn of fortunes is dizzying. The deep love, humor, and bond they share is beautiful.

Lisa Church works in IT for a major technology company in downtown San Francisco. She's spent over thirty years communicating in the corporate world, then decided it was time to transport readers to the small town where she grew up. Lisa now lives in Marin County with her husband, daughter, and their rescued Bichon. She's an active mentor and volunteer with the urban youth in San Francisco and enjoys everything Northern California has to offer, especially if it's outdoors.
