Join us at our Corte Madera Store for an evening with Laurie R. King, in conversation with Mystery Writers Conference Co-Chair Cara Black.

The Book Passage Mystery Writers Conference is in its 27th year, and its reputation among writers continues to grow. The Conference covers everything mystery writers need, from developing ideas and writing skills to finding an agent and publisher.  

Laurie R. King is the award-winning, bestselling author of seventeen Mary Russell mysteries, five contemporary novels featuring Kate Marinelli, and many acclaimed standalone novels such as Folly, Touchstone, The Bones of Paris, and Lockdown. King is an Edgar Award winner and was also named the 2022 Grand Master by Mystery Writers of America. She lives in Northern California, where she is at work on her next Mary Russell mystery.



Cara Black is the author of Murder at the Porte de Versailles and twenty books in the New York Times bestselling Aimée Leduc series as well as the thriller Three Hours in Paris. She has received multiple nominations for the Anthony and Macavity Awards, and her books have been translated into German, Norwegian, Japanese, French, Spanish, Italian, and Hebrew. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and son and visits Paris frequently.
