This class is for anyone who wants to learn how to crochet! 

We will learn the basic stitches and techniques that form the building blocks of crochet, as well as how to read a pattern. Students are encouraged to practice at home in-between classes, and will learn to put together their collection of tools and notions. 

By the end of the class, students should have at least one completed project to feel proud of, and have the skills to continue their crochet journey.

Valentina Castro has been crafting for as long as she can remember, learning the basics of knitting and crochet at the age of nine. She has a BFA in Textiles from California College of the Arts. Since 2017, she has co-created the fiber arts zine Storied Stitches with her best friend. Valentina is passionate about sharing the joys of crafts and creating a space where people of all walks of life can feel included and empowered by engaging in a creative, tactile art.
