There is no better way to learn about a country than to explore the parts that are hidden from most tourists - the hidden streets and alleyways where crimes occur, following the investigators unique to each locale.
This book group will read a crime fiction book from a different country each month, deciphering what themes in crime fiction cross borders, as well as the unique spin on the formula that comes from each place.
Books to be read include:
- September: Lost Man of Bombay by Vaseem Khan - India
- October: The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino - Japan
- November: Wife of the Gods by Kwei Quartey - Ghana
- December: Transparency of Time by Leonardo Padura - Cuba
