Thursday, January 24, 2019 - 7:00pm

Abducted at the age of three by his hippie mother who fled the east coast for freewheeling 1970s California, Jason goes missing until his father rescues him at a commune north of San Francisco. During the ensuing custody battle, Jason's mother once again tears him away, this time in full view of a shocked courthouse.

Inspired by actual events that took place in Marin County, this mystery is crafted by the trial attorney who handled the case and who remains haunted by it. In Gone Missing Colin Claxon tells a remarkable tale in the enthralling way that only someone who witnessed it could. In this suspenseful first novel, Claxon leads us on a cross-country adventure that culminates in an emotional courtroom action, placing the reader on the witness stand and at the counsel table.

Colin C. Claxon is a native of Marin County, California, and is a graduate of the University of San Francisco and its School of Law. In his fifty-plus years as a sole practitioner attorney, he has tried more than twenty-five cases to jury verdict, and he represented the successful plaintiff before the California Supreme Court in the landmark Taster's Choice (Nestle v. Christoff) case. He resides in Marin with his family. His passions include fly fishing.
