We study painting in Germany, Norway, England, France, Switzerland and Spain and encounter artists Caspar David. Friedrich, Johann Christian Dahl, the English watercolorists Girtin and Cotman,  John Constable, JMW Turner, Heinrichi Fussli, Delacroix, Gericault, Girodet, Baron Gros, and Francisco Goya whose Romanticism gives way to Realism.

Kerrin Meis taught art history at SFSU for ten years, and she currently teaches for the OLLI programs at Dominican University and UC Berkeley. She leads study tours in Europe. Her Book Passage classes have been big favorites for years.
