The acquisitiveness of the Royal Family is legendary. Philip IV in Spain and Archduke Leopold William in Vienna were enthusiastic shoppers following the disbursement of art from England after the execution of Charles I in 1649. As a result we have today two magnificent museums, one in Madrid and one in Vienna. In this class we’ll tour the Prado Museum and the Kunsthistorisches.

Kerrin Meis taught art history at SFSU for ten years and now teaches OLLI programs at Dominican University and U.C. Berkeley, and leads study tours in Europe. Her Book Passage classes have been favorites for years.
