Three Wednesdays: August 7, 14, 21 • 10:30 am – 12:30 pm • $110

Our adventure takes us to Padua’s Giotto frescoes and Donatello sculpture; to Verona, with her magnificent amphitheatre and Mantegna’s San Zeno; to Vicenza, Palladio's city; and a tour of villas including La Rotunda and Villa Barbaro at Maser. We’ll travel to Bassano del Grappa, home to Jacopo Bassano and (yes!) Grappa. We’ll see Asolo and Udine’s rarely-seen frescoes, Aquileia, and other highlights. We’ll end our visit in the watery city of Treviso where hardly anyone goes, and everyone should!

Kerrin Meis taught art history at SFSU for ten years, and has lead study tours in Europe. Her Book Passage classes have been favorites for years.

What Students Are Saying about Kerrin Meis

I love that Kerrin discusses little known sites and anecdotes. She makes you want to get out your map and go off the beaten path. Recently we knew the Jeopardy answer “What is the Stone of Scone?” because of her!!! Kerrin is magic. – Vikki D.
