What makes a book compelling? Unforgettable, singular characters! Jordan Rosenfeld discusses key character cues and the emotional layers necessary for character development. She takes you through a series of exercises to stretch your character building chops. She is an author of five books on writing and three novels. Jordan's freelance work has been published in The Atlantic, N.Y. Times, New York Magazine, and many more. 

Jordan Rosenfeld is the author of Make a Scene: Crafting a Powerful Story One Scene at a Time and Write Free: Attracting the Creative Life (with Rebecca Lawton). She earned her MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars. Jordan’s essays and articles have appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle, The St. Petersburg Times, The Writer and Writer’s Digest magazine. Her book commentaries have run on The California Report, a radio news-magazine produced by NPR-affiliate KQED radio.
