[Bookstore Day] Movie Night - The Outsiders (Corte Madera)

Saturday, April 29, 2017 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Special Independent Bookstore Day Event!

Join Book Passage as we host a special outdoor movie night in celebration of Independent Bookstore Day. We'll have popcorn and a snocone machine, as well as other snacks and refreshments for sale. Bring a blanket, a bean bag -- even your dog! For our first movie night, we'll be showing the classic 1983 movie The Outsiders based on the novel by S.E. Hinton.

In The Outsiders, the rivalry between two gangs -- the poor Greasers and the rich Socs -- only heats up when one gang member kills a member of the other. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, the film stars Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Diane Lane, Leif Garrett, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, and Tom Cruise.

Book Passage is thrilled to once again be participating in Independent Bookstore Day. We'll have a selection of limited edition items (see the list here), as well as events at our stores.

In San Francisco, we'll also have an "Under the Yellow Umbrella" tribute to beloved author Amy Krouse Rosenthal, and our "Baking Booksellers" will choose some of their favorite cookie recipes from featured books, put in some overtime in the kitchen, and share the bounty. We will also be participating in an SF Bicycle Book Tour. For more info, click here
