Classes Manager (Corte Madera Store)
The Book Passage Classes program offers opportunities for our customers to study writing, languages, culture, history, and current issues through classes taught by excellent teachers. The manager works with current teachers on both new and established classes and is on the lookout for new offerings. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys establishing working relationships with colleagues, teachers and customers. Although this is a job that includes wonderful creative opportunities, attention to detail and follow through are also important. Assistant Manager (Ferry Building Store)
Book Passage is looking for a new assistant manager for our Ferry Building store location who will share staff leadership and execution of daily operations with the store manager. Expectations include:
  • Enthusiasm for customer service in a brisk retail environment;
  • Knowledge of genres in a general-interest bookstore, including children’s titles;
  • Supervisory skills. Store staff includes six non-managerial booksellers;
  • Inventory management of books and sidelines, including receiving, shelving, returns, merchandising and displays;
  • Ability to work with company management off-site in the main store, via phone and email coordination of events, stock, and store policy;
  • Ability to coordinate author signings and events;
  • Availability for some evening and weekend shifts.

Cafe Baristas & Food Prep Staff (Corte Madera)

Book Passage Café and Wine Bar in Corte Madera is seeking  enthusiastic candidates for barista/front counter positions. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekday mornings, weekday evenings, and weekends, and excel in customer service. Book Passage café is a great place for hospitality interns to start getting experience with potential for back and front of house cross training. Please include resume and cover letter.

Book Passage Café and Wine Bar is also seeking applicants for back of house positions with potential for kitchen management, dependent upon restaurant experience. Applicants must be able to work weekday evenings and weekends.
