Book Passage leads the nation in author events, hosting more than 10,000 over the last couple of decades. We’ve welcomed world-famous writers, nurtured new and local authors, and brought readers the unmatched experience of interacting with those authors who write their favorite books. These events have been held in our stores, in schools, and in large outside venues. Over the last several months, we’ve also created an exciting series of online events that have acquired a nation-wide audience.

The big majority of these author events have been free to viewers. But of course there has been a substantial cost to us. And for that reason we have to rely on the support of readers around the country who enjoy these programs and want to keep them going.
