CWC-Marin is a great place to...
• improve your craft, no matter what level you are at—published authors to novices.
• learn about trends in publishing, marketing, and author platforms.
• meet local authors, agents, and publishers and keep current with the local literary scene.
• create critique groups with like-minded writers to get support, encouragement, guidance, and advice.
• make connections, make friends, and have fun with your writing.
Our monthly meetings feature guest speakers, a workshop, or a panel discussion along with networking, support, and writing news. Writers of every level are welcome—the only criterion is: are you serious about your writing?

A 501(c) 3 nonprofit education corporation, The California Writers Club was launched in 1909 in the San Francisco Bay Area in the midst of a flourishing early 20th century literary movement. There are now 14 branches throughout California; the Marin branch was chartered in 1999.
In 2003, CWC received a California Legislative Resolution declaring the third week of October as “California Writers Week.” In 2010, the Marin branch (along with the Marin County Free Library), received a Marin County Board of Supervisors Resolution declaring the third week of October as “California Writers Week.”
