Independent Bookstore Day 2016 - Come Celebrate with Us!

Saturday, April 30, 2016 - 10:30am to 3:00pm

Back for its third year, Book Passage invites you to join us for an all-ages carnival in celebration of 2016 Independent Bookstore Day in our Corte Madera store, and special events in our Ferry Building store. We'll have limited edition IBD items for sale, including a Neil Gaiman coloring book, "Anthony Bourdain's Perfect Burger" prints signed by Anthony Bourdain, "Bookstore Cats" zippered canvas pouches (click here for the full list). Items are in limited supply, available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9:00am on April 30. Items cannot be ordered online or placed on hold -- you just have to be here!

Acclaimed authors Isabel Allende (The Japanese Lovers, House of the Spirits, Ripper) and Anthony Marra (A Constellation of Vital Phenomena, The Tsar of Love and Techno) will join in-conversation before Book Passage founders Bill and Elaine Petrocelli offer a few remarks, concluding with a champagne toast!

  • May Day Basket kids' craft! Sunday is May 1, and we're reviving the tradition of flower-filled baskets to hang from doorknobs.  We'll have all the materials for a complete basket.
