Eldys Baratute graduated from the Onelio Jorge Cardoso Literary Creation Workshop. He works in PR for the magazine El Mar y La Montaña and is on the editorial board for Pinar del Río’s Chinchilla magazine. He currently serves as vice president of the Hermanos Saíz Association in Guantanamo. He has won the 2005 Calendar Prize, the 2007 Rosa Blanca Award, and many others. His work appears in various magazines and journals, and he has published Cuentos para dormir a María Cristina, Las flores de Pablo and many others.
