Charles E. Morrison is president of the East-West Center. He is a founding member of the U.S. National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation and member of the U.S. Committee for Security Cooperation in Asia-Pacific. Hadi Soesastro is a member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Jakarta, where he has served as Head of the Economics Department, Director of Studies, and Executive Director. He has written extensively on energy issues, international trade, regional cooperation (ASEAN, APEC), and the relationship between economics and security.
