Today an award-winning travel journalist and guidebook author, she writes about the nooks, crannies, and quirky curiosities of the state for magazines, newspapers, and online media. Karen is also a specialist in international golf travel, and founder of DeepCultureTravel.com. She enjoys the backroads and beaches of Sonoma County with her husband, Michael, and her daughters, grandkids, and a great-grandtoddler.
