Just announced: for mystery lovers, the Killer Reads Book Club

Members of our Signed First Editions Club receive a signed first edition each month of a new work of fiction by an emerging author who shows exceptional talent and promise. Many of our selected authors have gone on to win literary acclaim, including Paul Harding, whose novel Tinkers won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction! We have an archive of our previous picks available as well.

Nearly 100 Bay Area schools have received books for more than a decade from our School Link Program. When parents or friends of your school shop at our stores and mention your school, we give back a portion of those sales in the form of Book Passage gift certificates.

The Book Passage Mentoring Program offers authors a unique approach to building a writing career. Writers have the opportunity to work with an established author and focus on the issues that are the most important to them.

You are invited to join our Friends of Book Passage annual membership program. We are now in our fifth year and we are gratified that so many of our loyal customers have joined ranks with others in the common goal to ensure that Book Passage will continue to be a vital community center for generations of readers to come.

Our Aunt Lydia Book Club members receive monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly book selections based on their own reading preferences and interests. Our club coordinator surveys the tastes of each member at the beginning of their membership to get a feel for the types of books the member enjoys, and then she scouts for just the right books to send them. It's like having a personal shopper for bibliophiles!

Book Passage is fully committed to Book Clubs out in the community. We help readers in the Bay Area organize their own book clubs. Community book clubs may register their clubs with Book Passage to receive a 10% discount on book selections. Our book clubs coordinator can help suggest just the right titles for your book club, too. Plus, we occasionally host special events for book clubs at our stores, and registered clubs can receive reserved seating at select author events. Don't forget to check our Book Clubs news page for all the latest updates!
