Francis Weller - Entering the Healing Ground

Francis Weller, psychotherapist and author of Entering the Healing Ground: Grief, Ritual and the Soul of the World ($15.95), will offer an afternoon talk on the ways grief touches our lives. He will delve into the soul’s relationship with grief, how grief shared deepens our capacity for compassion and eases the congested sorrows that cloud our hearts. He will explore the obstacles to grief that hinder our ability to empty the bowl of grief we carry and recall that “Where there is sorrow, there is holy ground.”

Francis Weller, MFT, is a psychotherapist, writer and soul activist. To further this work, he founded and directs WisdomBridge, an organization that offers educational programs that seek to integrate the wisdom from traditional cultures with the insights and knowledge gathered from western cultures. Francis received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and two Master’s Degrees from John F. Kennedy University in Clinical Psychology and Transpersonal Psychology. His writings have appeared in anthologies and journals exploring the confluence between psyche, nature and culture.
