A Future for Cheetahs is a simple and elegant large-format book of incredible photography that provides insight on the past and present, and future of cheetahs in the wild. It features commentary by Dr. Laurie Marker, world renowned authority on cheetahs, and illustrated through imagery captured by renowned wildlife photographer Suzi Eszterhas. Through the eyes of the cheetah, this picture book story will bring the reader face to face with some of the rarest and most beautiful images taken of wild cheetahs. Equally as powerful, compelling stories and photos weave a story of the conservation initiatives that are the key to their very survival.
Dr. Laurie Marker is the founder and Executive Director of the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF). Having worked with cheetahs since 1974, Marker set up the not-for-profit Fund in 1990 and moved to Namibia to develop a permanent Conservation Research Centre for the wild cheetah. Suzi Eszterhas is an award-winning wildlife photographer based in California. Best known for her work documenting family life on the African savanna, Eszterhas has undertaken commissions and led instructional photography tours and workshops everywhere from Antarctica to the Arctic and Alaska to Montana.
