Which monuments are an absolute must and why?  And what about gems of art tucked away in less visited venues as well as lurking in the corners of the National Gallery , the Museums of the Smithsonian., and the Library of Congress.  Why are Du Pont Circle and Dumbarton Oaks go-to destinations?

Kerrin Meis taught art history at SFSU for ten years, and she currently teaches for the OLLI programs at Dominican University and UC Berkeley. She leads study tours in Europe. Her Book Passage classes have been big favorites for years.
