Class: Kate Rider - Improving Your Italian through Music (Corte Madera)

Four Thursdays: June 30 – July 21 • 12:00 – 1:30 pm • $100

Listening to foreign-language songs is a great way to boost your language learning! In this class we will listen to a variety of Italian popular songs, from the 1950s to the present day, and use them as a tool for increasing vocabulary, improving listening skills, and even learning and reinforcing grammar. Some of the artists whose songs we’ll listen to are Arisa, Jovanotti, Giorgio Conti, Maria Pierantoni Giua, and Eros Ramazzotti, among others. Recommended for students who have had a year or more of Italian.

Kate Rider has a master’s degree in Italian Literature from SFSU and teaches Italian at Dominican University. Her classes are fun and relaxed, with an emphasis on practical speaking ability.
