California Writers Club - Peg Alford Pursell, Linda Joy Myers & Brooke Warner

Three experts, Peg Alford PursellLinda Joy Myers, and Brooke Warner will each talk about their area of specialty, including Flash fiction, Memoir, and Nonfiction.  The audience will break into small groups to discuss their area of specialty. Bring your ideas and questions and get advice and support from these writing gurus!

Peg Alford Pursell is a writer, editor, teacher, and literary community builder. She curates the renowned and beloved literary series Why There Are Words, held monthly in Sausalito and named Best of the Bay 2012 for Literary Events in just its second year of operation. Her fiction has received awards such as The State Fiction Award (S.C.), S.C. Academy of Authors Fiction Fellowship, S.C. Arts Commission Prose Fellowship (Alternate), and American Fiction Award Finalist. Her short story collection was a short-list finalist for the Flannery O’Connor Short Fiction Award.

Linda Joy Myers, Ph.D., is the president and founder of the National Association of Memoir Writers, & past Co-President of the Women's National Book Association, SF. She's the author of the memoir Don't Call Me Mother: A Daughter's Journey from Abandonment to Forgiveness, a Finalist in the ForeWord Book of the Year contest, 2013. Linda is co-editor of Times They Were A'Changing--Women Remember the 60s & 70s, a Finalist in the ForeWord Book of the Year contest.

Brooke Warner is founder of Warner Coaching Inc., publisher of She Writes Press, and author of What's Your Book? A Step-by-Step Guide to Get You from Inspiration to Published Author. Her book was a finalist for the Foreword Reviews Book of the Year Award for 2012 and her website was selected by the Association of Independent Authors as a winner of "Best Websites for Independent Authors."
