From a journalist's unforgettable meeting with Oscar Wilde, to a prose poem on madness, to a black comedy dealing with a botched murder, Ron Hansen once again displays the sweep and variety of his imagination in She Loves Me Not: New & Selected Stories ($22.00). His expert crafting of language and character and his marvelous ability to render vividly and convincingly the details of times past are once again on display in his newest collection of short form fiction. Ron Hansen is the author of eight novels and two short story collections, including The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. He graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, and went on to the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop where he studied with John Irving. He is now Gerard Manley Hopkins, S.J., Professor in Arts and Humanities at Santa Clara University in northern California.
