Success Stories "You
were very helpful and encouraging to me both during and after the 2009
Children's Writers & Illustrators Conference. I connected with a
wonderful illustrator—Ji Young Lee—who also attended the conference, and we published a picture book of one of my stories, Marcie's Daffodil. It came out from Xlibris in December of 2010, and has been enthusiastically received wherever people have seen it. "The Children's Writers & Illustrators Conference at Book Passage was an intimate and educational experience that allowed me to talk one on one with successful illustrators, authors, editors, art directors, and agents in the children's literature profession. From my attendance, I was able to gain a foundation of how good picture books are made and this information helped me become a published illustrator through A Moment in Time, which debuted this year!" A wonderful assemblage of writers, illustrators, agents, editors, publishers we would never otherwise have the chance to meet, under one roof." – Nancy Coopersmith "I learned all the
basics and then some. I’m totally inspired, feel more confident about
submitting my manuscript to a publisher now." – Gailya Magdalena "Of the many professional events/conferences I’ve attended, Book Passage staff is by far the best. A perfect mix of professional and personable." – Christine Nizibian |
