Passage, except July, August and December, on the 4th Sunday of the
month, unless a holiday. 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Meeting may feature a guest speaker, a workshop or a panel discussion along with networking, encouragement and writing news. The first branch was established in Berkeley. | In 2003, CWC received a California Legislative Resolution declaring the third week of October as “California Writers Week.” Marin branch was chartered with CWC in 1999 and celebrates eleven years with CWC and with Book Passage. In 2009, the centennial of CWC, Marin branch and Book Passage hosted “We Know They Can Write But Can They Sing?” – a gala event featuring Kathi Kamen Goldmark, Sam Barry, Peter Beren, Tony Broadbent, David Corbett, Katherine Cowles, Patricia Volonakis Davis, Tanya Egan Gibson, Deborah Grabien, David Harris, Seth Harwood, Ivory Madison, Gil Mansergh, Janis Cooke Newman, Brenda Novak, Susanne Pari, Andy Ross, Kemble Scott, Sheldon Siegel, Ransom Stephens, Wendy Nelson Tokunaga. http://www.cwcmarinwriters.com/events/centennial/centennial.html In 2010, Marin branch, along with the Marin County Free Library, received a Marin County Board of Supervisors Resolution declaring the third week of October as “California Writers Week.” http://www.cwcmarinwriters.com/history/ca_writers_week/ca_writers_week.html California Writers Club Marin events are open to the public for a $10 non-member charge per meeting.
