Let me start off by saying that I am not a writer. I am a software developer for Windows who just happens to have an active imagination. I have a BS in Computer Science and a minor in English. I started writing when I was in high school. For the last ten minutes of class, we would just pull out a blank piece of notebook paper and write. I then started writing short stories in my spare time, sometimes staying up very late. I have written many short stories, books in a series, and even some incomplete story ideas. In college, I wrote three audio dramas for which I had friends lend their voices. Two were completed while the third took too much time and ended up being pushed to the side. When I started writing Sarah's Lottery, I knew that this story was going to be published. It was very fun to write, and I am very glad to be able to share it with you.
"Model Bakery is much more than the wonderful bread they bake. It's part of the breakfasts I sneak with my wife and kids, the holder of my addiction to English muffins, and the first thing to grace the table at Bottega. In short, Model Bakery is a part of everybody and everything I love in the Napa Valley. Enjoy this book and it will be a part of yours too." -- Michael Chiarello, Chef/Owner of Bottega and Chiarello Family Vineyards
