About the Author

Sue Macy is a lifelong baseball fan and has been a writer and editor for children and young adults for more than fifteen years. A member of Princeton's first women's softball team as an undergraduate, she is now an editorial director in the magazine division of Scholastic Inc. She lives in Englewood, New Jersey.

Bob Costas has won twenty-four Emmy Awards more than any other sports broadcaster and been a prominent part of the coverage of every major sport over the past three decades. In 2012, he was elected to the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame and selected for the Walter Cronkite Award for distinction in journalism.
