From its Roman ruins and medieval hill towns to the glitzy beaches and casinos of Cannes and Monaco, one of southern France's most glorious regions is beautifully presented in "National Geographic Traveler: Provence & the Cote d'Azur, 2nd Edition." The guide explores the province's magical landscapes of fragrant lavender, along with its charming villages and cities. It takes readers from van Gogh's old haunt, Arles, to elegant and chic Aix-en-Provence, from the Mediterranean paradises along the French Riviera to the vibrant cities of Avignon, Marseille, and Orange.
