About the Author
Nancy G. Brinker is the founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She has served as ambassador to Hungary and as the chief of protocol for the United States, and she is currently the Goodwill Ambassador for Cancer Control for the United Nations World Health Organization. She has been the recipient of many prestigious awards, including the 2009 Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. Joni Rodgers is the New York Times bestselling author of Bald in the Land of Big Hair, a memoir of her cancer treatment and recovery. The book helped launch Joni's public speaking career and brought her to the attention of celebrities and others who began asking her to help them tell their stories. Between novels and ghostwriting projects, Joni volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and does peer counseling with other cancer survivors. Joni lives in Houston, Texas. Coleen Marlo is an accomplished actor who has appeared on stage, in film, and on television, and is a member of the prestigious Actors Studio. She also taught acting for ten years at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
