About the Author

Sharon Robinson is Jackie Robinson's daughter and the Director of Educational Programming for Major League Baseball. She is the author of a memoir, Stealing Home, and is the creator of Breaking Barriers, an in-school program of Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players Association, and Scholastic. Ms. Robinson lives in New York City.

Kadir Nelson won the 2012 Coretta Scott King Author Award and Illustrator Honor for Heart and Soul: The Story of America and African Americans.
