Ne a Kilkeel, dans le County Down, en 1961, Eoin McNamee a grandi en Irlande du Nord avant de faire ses etudes au Trinity College de Dublin. Remarque par la presse irlandaise pour ses premiers romans "The Last of Deeds" et "Resurrection Man", il a ete finaliste du Booker Prize avec "Le Tango bleu" (edite en 2013 par Gallimard). Il vit a Sligo, en Irlande.
