About the Author

R.A. Salvatore s first published novel, The Crystal Shard, introduced the world to the dark elf Drizzt Do Urden whose ongoing adventures continue to captivate readers all around the world. Soon after that, he began writing seriously, penning the novel that would become Echoes of the Fourth Magic. His novel, The Silent Blade, won the Origins award and in 1997, he donated his letters, manuscripts, and other professional papers to his alma mater, forming the library s R.A. Salvatore Collection. A native of Massachusetts, Salvatore continues to live in his home state along with his wife Diane.
