The Book Passage Mentoring Program

The Book Passage Mentoring Program offers authors a unique approach to building a writing career. Writers have the opportunity to work with an established author and focus on the issues that are the most important to them. The mentor and the writer set the agenda for their sessions. The topics may range from developing sources of inspiration in their writing to the practical questions of publication and book promotion. The needs of the writer are at the center of the program.

In selecting the initial mentors for this program, we have turned to writers and editors that we have worked with for several years in our classes and conferences. They are all not only very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the publishing business, but they have proven themselves to be good teachers and to genuinely care about the writing careers of others.

We will put the mentor and writer in touch with each other and arrange the initial session. If both parties feel that additional sessions would be helpful, we will help arrange that as well.
